Founding Story

Founding Story

Luz Sanchez is the founder of Avi Technologies,

a proudly minority and women-owned aircraft brokerage specializing in

commercial, private, and cargo aircraft parts.

Born and educated in Colombia, Luz earned her degree in International Commerce before building a diverse career spanning the petroleum, coffee export, and toy manufacturing industries.

Her passion for aviation began early while assisting her father—an Avianca aircraft mechanic who later became an aircraft engineer and founded his own aviation parts and freight forwarding business—where she learned that integrity and one’s word mean everything.

After immigrating to the United States with a work visa, Luz served as a Sales Representative for a Colombian airline's Miami location, helping develop client relationships.

Over the past 30 years, she has refined her expertise through leadership roles in multiple aircraft companies focused on repairs, parts, and sales.

Today, Luz leads Avi Technologies with the same principles that shaped her career:

honesty, fairness, and transparency.

Clients value her straightforward approach and rely on her to deliver results when others cannot.

Recognized for her extensive network and dependability,

she is the professional companies call during critical AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.

Luz also serves as a trusted primary purchaser in the U.S. for multiple international clients, specializing in Boeing and Airbus components.

Through Avi Technologies, Luz continues to honor her family’s aviation legacy while exemplifying the strength, dedication, and excellence of women entrepreneurs in the global aviation industry.
